Radon Testing
Radon is a carcinogenic gas that is hazardous to inhale. Build-up of radon in homes is a health concern.
12% of lung cancers cases are caused by radon…
causing more than 20,000 deaths in the United States each year. As state certified radon technicians, Craig and Cheri Howard are both authorized to conduct radon tests. Leon county is an area of heightened radon concern, and many municipal buildings are required to be periodically tested.
Windows and exterior doors should remain closed except for entering or exiting the home during the 48 hours of testing, and 12 hours prior to the beginning of the test, so please make your desire for a test known to us when you first contact us. We will review the required procedures with you, any realtors involved, and the occupants. Test results are usually available the day the test is concluded.
